Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Ace (the “App”) treats information when you use it. PDF Ace is built to keep document handling on your device. We process only the limited information required to deliver core functions, including advertising and subscriptions. Using the App means that you acknowledge this Policy.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Data required to provide the service
Some basic device details and activity signals may be processed so that subscriptions, analytics, and advertisements work properly. These may include:
- Technical details such as your IP address, operating-system and App versions, and device identifiers, including an advertising identifier.
- Events generated while you use the App, such as advertisement views or taps and changes to subscription status.
1.2 Information we do not collect
- We do not ask for or collect direct identifiers such as your name or telephone number.
- Your PDF contents are not uploaded to, inspected by, or retained on our servers.
2. Your Documents and Local Processing
Opening, viewing, and editing PDF files takes place locally on your device, so your documents remain in your control.
- You choose each file: On Android, PDF Ace relies on the system file selector or scoped storage. On iOS, it uses the system document picker. In both cases, the App accesses only the items you select.
- No silent file review: PDF Ace does not search, catalog, or index your storage in the background.
- Working files: The App may create temporary data while completing an edit. This data is cleared when the operation ends or the App closes.
3. Advertising and Ad Preferences
PDF Ace may contain advertisements supplied by outside advertising partners, such as Google AdMob. Subject to your settings and applicable law, those partners may use device identifiers and interaction information to evaluate ad performance or tailor ads.
- Your device settings let you reset, restrict, or otherwise control the use of the advertising identifier.
- Choosing not to receive personalized advertising does not remove all ads; contextual or non-personalized ads may still appear.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
- Payments through the app store: Android purchases are completed by Google Play, while iOS purchases are completed by the Apple App Store. We do not receive or keep your complete payment-card information.
- Restoring access: An eligible active subscription can be restored through the same platform account used for the original purchase.
5. Device Permissions
PDF Ace requests permissions only when they are needed for an App feature:
- File access allows the App to open, change, and save PDFs that you have chosen.
- Internet access supports ad delivery, purchase validation, update checks, and any optional online functionality.
We use these permissions only for the purposes listed here.
6. Safeguarding Information
- When information must travel to an app store, advertising service, or similar provider, encrypted connections are used.
- We limit the amount of data processed and favor local, on-device operation whenever practical.
- You may withdraw a permission through your device settings, although the related App feature may then stop working.
7. External Service Providers
To operate certain functions, PDF Ace may work with third-party services in these categories:
- Advertising providers, such as Google AdMob.
- Billing systems, including Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchases.
- Crash reporting or analytics providers, when enabled.
Each provider processes information according to its own privacy policy.
8. Children’s Privacy
PDF Ace is not intended for children who have not reached the age at which they may consent to data processing under local law. We do not intentionally collect information from such children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us so that we can respond appropriately.
9. Controls Available to You
- Adjust advertising choices through your operating-system settings.
- Review or remove file permissions at any time in device settings.
- Uninstall PDF Ace to end the App’s processing and collection on that device.
10. Revisions to This Policy
We may revise this Policy when the App changes or when legal obligations evolve. For significant revisions, we will change the “Last updated” date shown above and may also display an in-App notice when appropriate.
